GL

GL made a name for himself in Visayas’ hip-hop scene by participating in underground battle leagues. He then competed at the 2018 Process of Illumination event in Cebu and won the championship. His first match took place at Gubat 8 against Pen Pluma. Despite losing the battle, the fans and emcees applauded his incredible performance. Since his debut, GL has been gaining not only more wins but also more supporters. Apart from his extensive vocabulary, he quickly became known for his intelligent, well-constructed angles such as the now influential "train of thought" schemes. In 2024, he joined the Isabuhay Tournament, giving game-changing performances that effortlessly got him to the finals where he faced Vitrum. After a very close match, GL was hailed as the champion.

Outside of battle rap, the Leyte representative still lives and breathes hip-hop. 2022 saw the release of his much-awaited solo EP titled "SA/LIRIKO". The whole project is available on his YouTube channel. It consists of five tracks, with A.D. Beats handling the production.
